Shattered
A light bulb is anger.
All I need to heat up is the flip of a switch,
scorching anyone that gets too close.
One quick flick
is all it takes for my anger
to blaze bright.
It is painful to watch;
I can be blinding.
My circut snaps and
I smash to the ground,
shattered.
A million shards of my former self
fly everywhere,
lacerating those too close.
It’s too late,
no one can fix me now.
Statement of Purpose:
In this piece, I revised my grammar issues and worked on Improving word choice. I also worked on making sure my poem flowed when it was read.
